Rhodes Monkey Bread Recipe

I use to make Monkey Bread y-e-a-r-s ago. This Monkey Bread recipe was in my Rhodes email, so, now I think I just may have to make some.

Mini Monkey Bread

Prep Time: 20 min
Bake Time: 15-20 min
Skill Level: Beginning
Servings: 12

12 RHODES Dinner rolls, thawed but still cold
6 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoons corn syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon

Icing:
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1-2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Cut each dinner roll into 6 equal pieces. In a bowl, combine butter and corn syrup and stir until well mixed. In another bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon and mix well. Dip each roll piece in the butter mixture and then in the sugar mixture. Place 6 pieces in each well sprayed cup of a 12 cup muffin tin. Cover with sprayed plastic wrap and let double in size. Remove wrap and bake at 350°F 15-20 minutes. Cool 3-4 minutes before removing from pan. Combine icing ingredients and mix well. Drizzle over monkey breads if desired.

The "Secret Fudge" Recipe

Many, many, years ago, a distant relative of ours actually paid $300.00 for the Fannie May Fudge recipe. Yeah, we thought she was nuts too!

Well, she finally broke down and gave me the recipe in the early 80's but she made me promise to never, ever, give the recipe to anyone.

I laugh about this now as the same recipe is all over the web ... and it's FREE ... unless, of course, you want to pay ME! (A lot of those on the web are not the exact same recipe as this one)

Psst ... I'll change the name ... she'll never know you got her "precious but pricey" recipe from me! lol!

Note - It is a very time sensitive recipe, so be very prepared. And, I ALWAYS lightly spray the pan with Pam. Also, never hurts to have an extra set of hands around to help with the stirring! Hubby and I always make this together.

"Pammy May's Fudge" lol!

Ingredients

4 cups sugar
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup butter
25 large marshmallows, cut in half
13 ounce bag of milk chocolate chips
12 ounce bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 ounces Bakers unsweetened chocolate,
(cut up and melted in microwave)
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

1. Mix milk, sugar, vanilla and butter together in saucepan.

2. Bring to a hard boil. Boil for 2 minutes. TIME!

3. Turn off the heat.

4. Hurry! Add cut up marshmallows and stir until melted.

5. Hurry! Add chocolates one at a time.

6. Stir rapidly until melted.

7. Add the nuts if using them.

8. Put into 2 - 13-inch buttered pans or 1 12x16-inch jelly roll pan. Spread quickly and carefully.

9. Let cool before cutting. Keep refrigerated.

10. ENJOY!
